Broadway (musical) in The Hague

FiddlerBroadway might be a tad too far but classic Broadway musical Fiddler on the Roof is just around the corner, performed stylishly this weekend by the Middle and High School students from American School of The Hague. They might not earn their living by acting but I am sure they put their hearts to it.

Their performance is based on Joseph Stein’s book and Broadway production that took its first breathe thanks to direction and choreography of Jerome Robbins.

This musical is set in prerevolutionary Tsarist Russia. A Jewish peasant Reb Tevye struggles to keep traditions alive in his village Anatevka while trying to find suitable suitors for his strong-willed three daughters. It is 1905 and anti-Semitism is threatening his village.

You will have three chances to see Fiddler on The Roof: Friday 15 November and Saturday 16 November at 7:30pm or Sunday 17 November at 2:30pm. Reserve your 10e tickets and see you there!
