Just Celebração!
Spring doesn’t seem to be willing to come to The Hague yet. Maybe that was the inspiration for the creation of Afro-Brazilian music project Celebração, the fusion between hot Brazilian rhythms and Dutch jazzy beats.
Incredible musicians are behind this project, Brazilian jazz legend Robertinho Silva on drums and percussion, Edgar van Asselt on piano, José Lopretti on bass and Marco Kegel on saxophone and flutes.
This Saturday, 23 March, they will be accompanied with lovely voice of Lilian Vieira who left Zuco 103 to try her luck in solo career both as a singer and as author of the lyrics for Edgar van Asselt’s Portuguese tunes.
Robertinho Silva came to the Netherlands especially for Celebração! He used to play with the names such are Marcos Valle, Gilberto Gil, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, George Duke, Sarah Vaughan, George Benson… His rhythms are not to be missed!
