HEADPHONES ON, MUSIC IN
There are two things you can do tonight: You can listen to Lydia Hendrikje or you can listen to MIMRA. But since they will both be at the same place, at the same time, it is most likely you will listen to both of them. The two will have a strong musical support from an entire orchestra with string, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. Immense!
This open-air “headphone” concert is taking place in the magical garden of Het Nutshuis. UPDATE: Magic found its way into the big white foyer hall of Nutshuis. Cold and rain – we fear you not! Yes, it is cold but before saying a big “no” to this event, think about it – how many times did you listen to an open-air headphone concert? Never. So dress warm and try to find a secret passage to the extraordinary world of music.
Stop reading here not to spoil the surprise or… continue to find out you will get a pair of headphones to guide you straight into the ear-melting experience in an autumnal decor.
Both of the voices have been carefully carved at Koninklijk Conservatorium – Royal Conservatoire.
Fragile and soft sound of Lydia Hendrikje is enwrapped in crisp rhythms and floating harmonies. She tells a tale of love and life using unexpected power that gives the soul to pop shooting an arrow into your heart.
MIMRA is an alter ego of super talented Icelandic singer María Magnúsdóttir. Such a small country, so many good singers. Amazing. MIMRA creates orchestral folk pop, sometimes sweet and noble, sometimes rough and powerful. A must see.
