Love Me Do!

Love me doThursday is the new Friday or Saturday or weekend in The Hague. That’s the only explanation for the overflow of amazing events in the city.  The opening of the movie festival  and the concerts that are following seem not to be enough but on top of it we also have to deal with the sweet pleasure of the existence of regular and less regular events all around.

Thursday is the day when Di Verso and BINKVIJF HOOG are hosting one of their fabulous dinners (Indian menu this time) with Maurits Roes on piano. Thursday is also the day when Jen Min Lau and Ramona von E will be spinning some groovy records at Café de Bieb. The Beatles are for sure on the menu as 50 years ago, their first record hit the stars.

Apart from Please, Please Me and Love Me Do, you can expect some Motown soul, hot twist, dirty funk, boring pop, jumping jazz, sexy bossa, rare groves and… slow tunes to ask for a dance or two that shy one in the corner you’ve been looking at the whole evening… You know who I’m talking about!

Bink Vijf Hoog, Binckhorstlaan 36, from 6:30pm

De Bieb, Veenkade 7, 9pm until the neighbors call the police
